Shanghai University looks to deepen international exchange

Shanghai University sent a delegation to visit overseas partner colleges from April 1-8 in an attempt to deepen academic and cultural exchange.

In Rome, Italy, the delegation led by Ouyang Hua, vice president of Shanghai University, and representatives of Sapienza University of Rome reached an important consensus on enhancing cooperation in major areas such as international trade, finance and architecture.

The two universities discussed their respective curriculums and agreed to jointly launch a double major master's program.

During a visit to Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey the delegation attended a preparatory meeting for the 5th Sino-Turkish Forum focusing on archaeology and art history to be held at Shanghai University in November.

The two sides discussed cooperation opportunities in the life sciences, social sciences and energy sectors and expressed hope in promoting the Confucius Institute at Bosphorus University.
